The overload of information provided to the visitors of GLAM institutions at one time can prove to be overwhelming and loose their meaning while the vast information stored on to databases can be difficult to access. This highlights an accessibility challenge for institutions to provide adequate information in a way which will not overwhelm their visitors, but will encourage them through learning.

Artlens aims to create a solution by providing specific information to visitors as they want it by connecting them to information stored on a digital database.

Artlens interaction

Artlens works through user interaction, taking a photo of an element which then pulls object information from the database to display back to the user. Artlens has the ability to provide the information in different languages selected by the user in order to create widespread accessibility of the web app to a wider audience.

Artlens wireframes

Artlens is aimed towards visitors to GLAM institutions who wish to receive more information in an interactive way, and to those who may not speak english and wish to have the same opportunity to understand the information available to them.
